VOLUNTEER HOURS FOR CHILDREN/PARENTS
Volunteer at the parish. A family practicing stewardship shares their talents with the parish community. We need to document at least 10 hours of volunteering per year as a family. A family is defined as the parent or guardian and their children. This does not include grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, siblings, etc. Only the family can earn hours. Children in 6th grade and above can help earn hours. Children in 5th grade and below are not eligible to earn volunteer hours. (These hours are in addition to volunteering for your school.) You can help by acting as an altar server, working at the fireworks stand, parish fundraisers, landscaping days, church cleaning, adoration, or other activities that help the parish family.
Please speak to the event coordinator before bringing children to work the event or they might not have a place for them. We do not guarantee service hours will be available.
PLEASE SIGN IN AT SUCH EVENTS, SO THAT WE CAN RECORD YOUR HOURS AT THE PARISH OFFICE OR THE HOURS WON’T BE CONFIRMED. THE EVENT CORDINATOR MUST CONFIRM ALL HOURS WORKED.
Call the office for more information or check your bulletin for these upcoming events.
